ACHKI

Art and Culture Hong Kong International (ACHKI) is a solidarity group of artists, scholars, and activists who, as a collective, explore the intricate interplay between art, culture, and politics, with a particular focus on recent events in Hong Kong. Rooted in the belief that participants in this dynamic relationship both shape and are shaped by the political and cultural landscape, we undertake a comprehensive case study to unravel these complexities. We view art as a powerful tool for social and political commentary—one that transcends mere aesthetics. Our group seeks to foster a deeper understanding of the world by examining the connections between artistic expression and the broader sociopolitical context. Through this work, we aim to inspire solidarity, critical reflection, and positive change. Committed to sharing knowledge and bridging disciplinary boundaries, ACHK provides a platform that not only showcases Hong Kong’s artistic talent but also engages with pressing sociopolitical issues on a global scale.
